Naturally Surviving Your Period
Raise your hands if you've ever been personally victimized by your period.

If you're like me, then you absolutely DREAD that time of the month and you know that during those few days, there will be mood swings, bloating, headaches, heaviness and an unbearable pain that when I describe to my mama friends, tell me that it sounds like I'm describing childbirth!

I've spent years trying to find relief. Sure, the easy fix that doctors will say is to go on birth control, but that's not an option for everyone. So what if you're looking for another alternative?

Here's my P story: I was in such bad pain for years that my doctor prescribed medicine for me. From the time of my first period at age 13 to now, age...(ummm let's not get sidetracked), I've always had painful periods. I started in my teens with Advil and Midol and I would have to take WAY more than the recommended dosage. So then my doctor prescribed something stronger but I would still have to take a lot in 1 day.

At one point a couple years ago, my husband and I decided to see a nutritionist to start a healthier lifestyle. During the detox phase, I noticed my periods were lighter and not as painful. It was the first time in years I didn't have to take the prescribed medicine. I still had to take Aleve, but that was a big improvement for me. It was then that I realized that diet plays a big part in the severity of our menstrual cramps. So I try to eat healthier, especially around HER visit. Now it's been a little over 2 years since I've taken prescription medicine for my cramps.

But as I get older (don't ask), I notice the pain is still very much there and there were times it was so bad that I would need to take Aleve every 4-6 hours for the first 2-3 days of my cycle. Still not acceptable to me!

So I decided to look to natural remedies to find relief. After years of trying different products, I finally found something that works for me! So I share that secret with you here!

This is my go-to regimen that has significantly reduced the amount of over-the-counter medicine I need (and by significantly reduce, I mean it's almost non-existent!!) (YAY!)

Supplements:
I take two of these capsules during my cycle.
Femigen Capsules (for hormone support and because sometimes you just lose your drive and wanna get your groove back)
Powergize Capsules (to help support my energy levels)

I drink one pouch of this daily (not just on my cycle but because this gives me more energy than I've ever had in years, I've incorporated it into my daily routine!)

I rub this on my abdomen as needed (usually 2-3 times a day for the first 2 days) This product has been the game changer for me and the main reason why I no longer need over the counter medicine during my period!

On the go? Try this Cramps Be Gone roller blend recipe:
  • 5 Drops Vetiver
  • 5 Drops Clary Sage (a powerful tool for female emotions)*
  • 5 drops Dragon Time (a blend formulated for supporting normal, healthy emotions during the monthly cycle)
Fill 10ml roller bottle with carrier oil.  Shake it up and apply on abdomen as needed.

Lastly, not too long ago I tried a product (advertising works y'all) that claimed to bring natural relief for period pain. I'm all about those two things so I decided to give it a try. I apply it after my CBD oil, especially when I'm going to be out of the house for a long time and won't be able to re-apply my ever-so-precious, won't ever live without CBD oil.

With a combination of these products, it no longer interrupts my life the way it used to. I can be out and about the day my friend arrives which is unheard of! For years, I could barely stand straight. My whole life would revolve around my cycle. But no more. I've completely taken my life back! You can find this amazing product here.

I feel like it's my duty to share all the things that have brought tremendous relief to my life.

It took me so long to finally find something that works for me! I hope it helps you find relief too!
